Job description

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.


Job Duties And Responsibilities

We’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic outdoor Wildlife Facilitator to engage children through storytelling and hands-on, nature-based learning about animals. Join us if you enjoy inspiring young minds and educating others about wildlife conservation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate education programs designed for children, focusing on wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship.
  • Deliver engaging animal stories and hands-on activities to spark curiosity and foster a love for nature.
  • Interact with children in an exciting outdoor environment, encouraging learning and positive action for wildlife protection.

Requirements

  • Available for weekday shifts during May and June 2025 for immediate need; suitably trained candidates will be offered job opportunities beyond this period.
  • Strong command of spoken English.
  • A genuine passion for wildlife, conservation, and public education.
  • Enthusiastic about working outdoors and facilitating fun learning for children.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a sense of adventure and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in leading tours or engaging big groups is a plus.
  • Comfortable handling animals such as insects during programs.

Training And Development

  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an in-person interview.
  • Successful applicants will undergo mandatory training, which is essential for the role.
  • Training Dates: 2nd, 5th, and 6th May 2025 (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM each day). Full attendance is required.
  • Upon completion of training and on-job assessment, facilitators will be scheduled for programs at Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, and Bird Paradise.
