Mandai Wildlife Group is seeking a passionate individual to facilitate outdoor activities for children aged 4 to 12 at Mandai Parks. This role involves working with children, maintaining safety, and managing education-related tasks while fostering a love for wildlife and nature. Applicants with at least two years of relevant experience in outdoor education or similar capacities are encouraged to apply.

Job description

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement the activities in accordance with the guideline, framework and philosophy of the School
  • Facilitate activities and multi-day trips at various location within Mandai Parks
  • Be a role model and forge strong relationship with children
  • Uphold good relationship with school representatives and parents
  • Conduct risk assessment to ensure participant's safety
  • Attend all instructor training sessions
  • Clean, maintain and prepare equipment and other logistics requirement

Job Requirement

  • Relevant experience in Early Childhood, Animals, Sports or Outdoor Education would be advantageous
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, conducting outdoor-related or animal-related programmes (for children preferred) / facilitation / education workshops
  • Exhibit classroom management skills and ability to motivate and engage children
  • Passionate about outdoor adventure learning and animals
  • Positive learning attitude and a growth mindset
  • Comfortable with facilitating outdoor activities for children aged 4-12
  • Ability to commit to the entire duration during programme period
