Job summary

BERGENIA HEALTHCARE PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks Wheelchair Transport Drivers to safely transport elderly and mobility-impaired clients to medical appointments, assist with wheelchair handling, and provide professional support during travel.

You will drive wheelchair-accessible vehicles, ensure client comfort and safety, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and complete trip records while communicating clearly with clients, caregivers, and healthcare staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
• Must hold a valid Bus Driver's Vocational Licence (BDVL).
• Able to assist with wheelchair handling and ensure client safety.

Responsibilities

• Drive wheelchair-accessible vehicles safely according to schedules to transport clients to hospitals, clinics, and dialysis centres.
• Assist clients with boarding, alighting, and wheelchair handling to ensure comfort and safety.
• Secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment properly during transit to prevent accidents.
• Provide basic assistance and navigation support at healthcare facilities to facilitate client transfers.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic safety checks to ensure vehicle readiness.
• Keep accurate trip records and promptly report any incidents or vehicle issues to management.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, caregivers, and healthcare staff to support client needs.

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence

• Be physically able to assist with wheelchair handling

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, medical transport, elderly care, or passenger transport is an advantage
• Demonstrate patience, responsibility, and a service-oriented attitude

This is a non-clinical role. Successful candidates must complete company-required training in transport, wheelchair handling, and client safety before deployment.
