Job summary

VFI Food Pte Ltd. is seeking a Western Chef to lead production and cooking of Western dishes in a fast-paced setting in Singapore. You will ensure quality, consistency and adherence to standard recipes and SOPs.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant experience, a culinary diploma, strong Western cooking knowledge and solid understanding of food safety and GMP/HACCP practices. Collaboration with team members and ongoing training will be part of this position.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Western Chef or similar role.
• Culinary diploma/certificate or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of Western cooking techniques, food preparation and standardisation.
• Experience in food production, batch cooking or processing is a plus.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and SFA requirements.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP and SOPs is advantageous.
• Good teamwork, communication and supervisory skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Western dishes to high standards per recipes and quality specs.
• Support daily food production and processing activities.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety per SFA requirements.
• Follow standard recipes, processes and SOPs for consistency.
• Monitor quantities, stock rotation and minimize waste.
• Assist with inventory control, raw materials and stock management.
• Conduct basic quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen/production staff.
• Ensure GMP, hygiene and safety compliance.
• Assist with new product development and recipe testing when required.
