Reporting to Senior Manager of Elderly Services, the incumbent is responsible for:
Implementing health and fitness initiatives and programmes that align with Yong-en's objectives of delaying, reversing and managing frailty.
Participating in designing health and fitness programmes and providing health coaching that supports healthy ageing in the community.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the effective planning and operations of the Gym Tonic programme, Say No To Frailty (SNTF), a programme for pre-frail seniors and SOAR (Stay Optimal Active Robust), a training programme to address functional, cardio, endurance, flexibility and mobility needs.
- Design and implement health-related programmes to augment the Gym Tonic programme
- Support the Senior Manager to review and align programme to Yong-en's objectives and effectiveness in delaying, reversing and managing frailty.
- Manage programme registration, attendance, scheduling, utilisation and Gym Tonic membership promotion, publicity and retention
- Participate in the design, development and implementation of health and fitness programmes and their sustainability.
- Support documentation and tracking of data for programme monitoring and evaluation
- Conduct 12-week progressive Gymtonic programme with pre-admission assessments to post assessments and reports
- Educate and motivate the elderly to improve their overall health literacy and advice on exercise
- Develop protocols and training materials for health coaching
- Maintain the state-of-the-art hydraulic fitness equipment for safety and efficiency and implement infection control and compliance procedures
- Coordinate with Lien Foundation and other organisations for programme executive, research initiatives and communication and feedback management from stakeholders
- Support development of community outreach plan to other organisations and the community
- Handle public inquiries and undertake any other projects or duties assigned by the Director
Job Requirements
- Certificate / Diploma in Sports and Exercise Sciences or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Precise attention to detail.
- A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach.
- Ability to make autonomous decisions within the remit of the role.
- Ability to multi-task and think creatively when confronted with a new situation.

- Proficient in English and able to communicate in dialects with non-English/Mandarin speaking clients.

- Work Schedule on weekdays, Sat 9am to 1pm, and flexible to work additional hours as required based on operational needs.
