Job summary

KINGSFORCE MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Welding Specialist to support Weld-Shop operations in West Singapore. You will coordinate shop-floor activities, train the team, maintain safety and quality, and assist in meeting production targets.

Role requires 5–7 years in a cladding Weld-Shop, hands-on Auto TIG and welding experience, and strong problem-solving and Lean manufacturing knowledge. Shift work and cross-stakeholder coordination are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NITEC in Welding, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of cladding machine Weld-Shop experience.
• Hands-on Auto TIG and manual welding experience.
• Experience with welding parameters, programming and procedures.
• Lean manufacturing and problem-solving experience.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good PC skills including Microsoft Office; SAP is a plus.
• Strong welding and metal properties knowledge; shop-floor coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Weld-Shop daily operations to meet safety, quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Train and coach team members to improve welding skills and standards.
• Create welding parameters and programs for cladding machines.
• Support welding qualification tests and procedure qualification activities.
• Monitor and maintain welding equipment and tooling.
• Develop and improve welding processes and work instructions.
• Coordinate with maintenance and stakeholders to optimize processes.
• Drive 5S, Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Initiate cost-saving and improvement plans; perform RCA and corrective actions.
• Support on-time delivery and production targets; work with robotic equipment.
