Hyd-Cyl Engineering (HCE) seeks a skilled welder to join its manufacturing team in Singapore. The role involves reading engineering drawings, setting up components for welding, and performing welding with FCAW or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.

The candidate should have at least a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering and be able to work overtime as required in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a 5-day work week, from 8am to 6pm, with opportunities to grow technical skills

Qualifications

• Welding and cutting experience required.
• Proficiency with FCAW or semi-automatic welding (1G) preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• NITEC in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Willing to work OT as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

• Read and understand engineering drawing and measurements to plan layouts
• Setting up components for welding according to specifications
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
• Education in engineering or equivalent

Requirements

• Welding and cutting experience
• best with FCAW / Semi-Auto at least 1G
• Able to read and understand drawings
• Candidate possess at least a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering
• Must able to work OT as and when required.
• Proactive in learning.
• Good interpersonal and communicate skills
• must be able to work in a fast paced environment
