Welding Specialist – Heavy Machinery Repairs | Immediate Start

Location: Joo Koon, Singapore

Salary: SGD 1300 - SGD 2500 / month

Working Hours: Mon–Sat, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role

We are a well-established engineering workshop specializing in repair and refurbishment of construction heavy machinery (e.g. excavators, forklifts, buckets, guide rails, hydraulic parts). We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Welding Specialist who’s hands-on with real-world welding jobs—not just theory, but someone who can get the job done right even without a blueprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Arc, TIG, MIG, and other welding techniques on mild steel, cast, and other materials
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or verbal instructions
• Operate plasma cutters, gas torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools
• Repair worn or cracked machine parts, attachments, and structures
• Handle custom welding jobs without drawings, based on supervisor guidance
• Collaborate with workshop team for complex repair jobs on excavator parts, arms, buckets, etc.
• Ensure weld quality, safety, and durability for heavy-duty use

Requirements

• Min. 2 years of hands-on welding experience
• Able to read engineering diagrams & blueprints
• Experience with manual cutting (plasma, oxy-acetylene, etc.)
• Good knowledge of welding repair for heavy equipment or similar applications
• Able to work independently and take initiative when drawings are not available
• Physically fit and comfortable working in workshop environment
