A leading company in the fabrication industry is seeking an experienced Welder to perform 3G welding using GTAW and SMAW processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal material groups, valid welding certifications, and a proven track record in industrial settings. With a five-day workweek and potential for overtime, this role offers an opportunity to work with diverse materials including high-temperature alloys. The candidate must be proficient in reading technical drawings and communicating effectively in English.

Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Perform welding in minimum 3G position using GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) processes, including grinding, flame cutting, and other relevant fabrication activities.
  • Execute welding and fit-up of components and sheet metal based on approved welding procedures, engineering drawings, welding symbols, shop routers, and internal/customer requirements.
  • Handle various base materials including high-temperature alloys, high-tensile steel, stainless steel — experience with aluminum and carbon steel is a strong advantage.
  • Operate welding tools and equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining proper care and calibration.
  • Interpret and work according to technical drawings and specifications, using tools such as measuring tape, ruler, tri-square, fillet gauge, protractor, level gauge, etc.
Requirements:
  • Trade Certificate in technical education with background in:
    Metal Material Groups
    Basic mathematics
    TIG and SMAW welding
    Gas cutting
    (MIG welding knowledge is a plus)
  • Possess valid welding certifications (CW, CWI, CSWIP preferred).
  • Proven track record and qualifications in 3G welding position.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings in compliance with AWS (American Welding Society) and ISO standards.
  • Minimum 5 years of welding experience in industrial or fabrication settings.
  • Able to follow technical instructions and communicate effectively in English.

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Days: Monday to Friday (5-day work week)
