Job summary
A leading engineering company in Singapore is looking for a candidate capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols. The role entails preparing weld maps, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and coordinating with inspectors. Candidates should have a Diploma in Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities
- Able to read and understand the engineering drawing.
- Interpretation of weld drawing and weld symbol.
- Preparing or establishing that a weld map with a pictorial identification to represent the weld number on the fabrication drawing.
- Assigning information to a weld joint for the purposes of production as well as traceability.
- Weld map should contain information such as its design (WPS), production (welders, their qualifications, date welded), quality (visual inspection, NDE), drawing and item number, and the information about the materials joined (heat numbers of materials & batch numbers of welding filler metals).
- Coordination with QC Inspector (Welding) and NDT Coordinator, to review and ensure that all finished welds are checked and approved prior to any delivery of handover.
- Ensuring that quality assurance standards and procedures are maintained.
- Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering or relevant field of international certificate in welding and NDT.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar capacity.
- A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task.
- Computer literary (CAD & MS. Office).
