Job summary

BRT SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to own the end-to-end design process for web, desktop, mobile and embedded display applications.

You will collaborate with product managers, stakeholders and developers to create intuitive, accessible interfaces, build design systems, and deliver high-fidelity prototypes using Figma and related tools.

The role emphasizes user-centered design, research, and data-driven decision making within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field.
• 4–5 years UI/UX experience across web, desktop, mobile, and embedded displays.
• Expert in Figma with Photoshop/Illustrator experience.
• Strong UX principles, IA, typography, color and layout.
• Knowledge of Android, iOS, Windows and macOS design guidelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience contributing to design systems.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and component frameworks like React/Angular.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum with Jira/Confluence.
• WCAG and inclusive design knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead user flows, IA, wireframes and high‑fidelity UI for web, desktop, mobile and embedded displays.
• Improve existing designs by identifying usability gaps and refining them.
• Apply design guidelines across Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and embedded displays.
• Design desktop experiences for multi‑panel layouts, resizable windows and data‑driven workflows.
• Design embedded touch UIs for 3.5"–15" displays with fixed sizes and touch interaction.
• Ensure usability, accessibility and consistency across devices and states.
• Contribute to design system and component library across platforms.
• Build scalable Figma components with design tokens and documentation.
• Collaborate with PMs, BAs and engineers to translate UI requirements into scalable solutions.
• Use data to prioritise work and justify design decisions.
• Assist planning and estimation of design work in Agile cycles.
• Explore and incorporate AI tools for accelerated UI/UX delivery.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer join our team of UI/UX designers to design intuitive, user-centred interfaces for web, desktop, mobile and embedded display applications. You will have the opportunity to own the end-to-end design process, from research and requirements through high-fidelity designs, design systems, and prototypes, working closely with product managers, stakeholders, and developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of user flows, information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, and interactive prototypes in Figma for complex web, desktop, mobile, and embedded display applications.
• Enhance existing product designs by identifying usability gaps and refining them iteratively.
• Apply Android (Material Design) and iOS (Apple Human Interface Guidelines) UI design guidelines, along with web, Windows (Microsoft Fluent Design), macOS, and embedded display conventions.
• Design desktop experiences for multi-panel layouts, resizable windows, keyboard shortcuts, and data-intensive workflows.
• Design UIs for embedded touch displays, including panels with display sizes ranging from 3.5" to 15", optimising for fixed screen sizes, touch interaction, and at-a-glance device control.
• Ensure usability, accessibility, and consistency across devices and platforms, including all interface states such as empty, loading, error, and success.
• Participate in building and evolving the design system, UI guidelines, and component libraries across all platforms, including embedded displays.
• Build scalable Figma components with design tokens, and define visual standards and documentation kept in sync with coded components.
• Work with product managers, business analysts, and engineering to translate UI requirements into scalable design solutions that balance user needs and business goals.
• Use research and data to prioritise work and justify design decisions.
• Contribute to the planning and estimation of design work within Agile delivery cycles.
• Explore, recommend and incorporate agentic AI tools and methods for accelerated UI/UX delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4-5 years of UI/UX design experience shipping products across multiple platforms, including embedded display applications.
• Expert proficiency in Figma, with working experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other image-editing tools.
• Strong grasp of UX principles, usability heuristics, information architecture, and visual design (typography, colour, and layout).
• In-depth knowledge of Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS design guidelines and interaction patterns.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands‑on experience contributing to and maintaining design systems.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and component-based frameworks (e.g., React or Angular).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of WCAG and inclusive design practices.
