The Wealth Planner is responsible to identify and develop wealth planning strategies - including through the use of insurance solutions, trusts, foundations, Family office, companies and other complex structures - to address clients wealth planning needs and objectives.
Main Responsibilities
Meet with clients and EFG Client Relationship Officers (CROs) to understand and identify opportunities regarding client wealth planning needs and objectives
As subject matter expert, conduct awareness training/discussions with CROs on relevant technical product/market updates relevant to the wealth planning space
Work with EFG Wealth Solutions (trustees) to facilitate the establishment of EFG trust structures for clients
Work with all relevant parties (internal and external to EFG) to assist in the processing and closure of wealth planning cases in Asia
Develop and maintain strong network of external advisors (Lawyers, Accountants, etc), insurance brokers and other counterparties
Work closely with the Head of Wealth Planning Asia on the achievement, monitoring and regularly reporting of financial performance and business development efforts
Contribute to Asia content for publications etc generated by Global Wealth Planning team
Role Requirements
In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience of:
The uses of offshore jurisdictions and wealth planning tools such as trusts, foundations, Family office and companies
In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience with HNW insurance solutions and premium financing
Experience in demonstrated track record of managing wealth planning business ideally in an insurance brokerage/private bank/trust company
University degree in Law or Finance related discipline. Additional qualifications links to the area of interest (e.g TEP, LLM in tax, etc) would be advantageous
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Mandarin as you will be working together with the Client Relationship Officers with Chinese portfolios.
