Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a maintenance engineer to operate and monitor UPW treatment systems, ensuring water quality and process reliability in our semiconductor facilities.

The role requires a degree in engineering and hands-on experience with UPW, water treatment, or related utility systems. You will perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with contractors to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in UPW, water treatment, or semiconductor manufacturing utility systems.
• Good understanding of pumps, filtration systems, membranes, control systems, or water quality parameters.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor UPW treatment system to maintain water quality and flow.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system checks on pumps, filters, membranes, tanks, valves, and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to water quality, pressure, conductivity, TOC, and flow.
• Support breakdown maintenance and coordinate with contractors or vendors for repairs and servicing.
• Analyze system performance data and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, water quality results, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with production, facilities, and quality teams to minimize disruptions to operations.
• Participate in equipment upgrades, commissioning, and qualification activities for UPW systems.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring system issues.
