Job summary

Element Materials Technology in Singapore's Tuas Loop is seeking a motivated Chemist to join our Water Chemistry Laboratory. You will perform chemical analysis of water and wastewater and operate analytical instruments to deliver timely, high-quality test results.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 quality requirements. You will collaborate with fellow chemists and technicians to ensure safe, efficient laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Experience in water, wastewater, environmental or analytical chemistry laboratory is advantageous.
• ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform water and wastewater chemical analysis according to approved methods.
• Carry out sample preparation, digestion, dilution and extraction as required.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments (IC, TOC, FIA, UV-Vis).
• Maintain instrument records and QC samples.
• Review data for accuracy and traceability.
• Support laboratory safety and 5S practices.
