Role Overview:

The Cold Room Operations Supervisor oversees daily operations in the cold storage area, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products while maintaining safety and quality standards. The supervisor leads a team of warehouse associates, ensuring high performance and compliance in a cold environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Lead warehouse staff in daily operations
• Ensure incoming goods are in good condition and accurately documented
• Manage inventory levels to support business needs
• Oversee cold room operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of frozen seafood
• Implement FIFO and manage expiry dates to reduce waste
• Conduct stock checks and generate inventory reports
• Train staff in handling perishable goods, temperature control, and hygiene

Operations Support:

• Coordinate logistics for cold storage, external facilities, and shipments
• Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness
• Align procurement, inventory, and production schedules
• Keep accurate records of product pricing, traceability, and quality checks
• Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to optimize inventory and meet demand
• Manage delivery routes, vehicle assignments, and schedules to ensure efficiency

Compliance & Documentation:

• Conduct stock audits and manage cold storage compliance
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and food handling regulations
• Prepare for audits and certifications
• Enforce proper storage procedures to maintain product quality

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or NITEC in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, or related field
• 2-3 years in warehousing, inventory, and operations
• Knowledge of cold storage and food safety standards (ISO, HACCP)
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office and inventory systems
