Job description

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Logistics Team Leader I located in Singapore. This is your opportunity to join a growing company offering a competitive base salary and benefits.

What You Will Do:

  1. Ensuring safe operation of warehouse.
  2. Lead and manage warehouse and forklift operators in their daily operation.
  3. Conduct cycle and monthly stock count and inventory reconciliation done with appropriate GL account codes and authorized approval. Inclusive of materials in bulk storage tanks.
  4. Management of waste disposal are conducted within regulatory requirements.
  5. MIGO/GR of goods and services are timely updated.
  6. Imported container are unloaded within 3 calendar days and return to yard.
  7. Verification of invoices and Non-PO based orders in On-Base queue are timely process for payment.
  8. Liaising with material and logistic planners on shipment document and arrival schedules (imports, transfers from 3PL and any local deliveries).
  9. Maintain operation readiness of forklifts, warehouse equipment and miscellaneous, hot-boxes, office tools, cold room and facilities, etc.
  10. Managing of ISO tanks holding area.
  11. Ensuring sufficient stocks of packaging materials – IBCs, bulk bags, labels, waste-water chemicals to support production.
  12. Develop the new work instructions when it is applicable upon any MOC or new process.
  13. Develop and review the risks assessment when it is required, such MOC or any RCA cases.
  14. Participate in EHCP programs as nominated or projects as assigned.

Position Details:

  1. Lead a team comprises of shift staffs and day staffs.
  2. Responsible for the direction and supervision of the warehouse operation of EHCP.
  3. Owns the KPI of safety, quality, operation excellence, etc set by the management for the warehouse operation.
  4. Must be willing to work in Jurong Island.
  5. Must be willing to backup/support odd hours (inclusive Weekends and/or PH) of operation when it is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Engineering or Logistics related discipline
  2. 8-10 years of related chemical operation experience with 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience
  3. Possess forklift license
  4. Self-starter with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  5. Independent Leader with strong communication and influencing skills.
  6. Team player with good problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  7. Results-oriented with a keen eye for details
  8. Ability to direct, train and motivate staff
  9. Knowledge of emergency response in relation to handling to chemical, fire and medical situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Basic user experience of SAP or any ERP system.
  2. Knowledge of WMS management will be an advantage.
