Responsibilities
- Monitor daily safety and health-related matters in warehouse facilities situated in Jurong Island
- Conduct toolbox meeting for the warehouse facilities
- Constant inspection of sites for good practices and identify non-conformances and potential hazards
- Report and document incidents and implement effective corrective measures
- Hold monthly meetings with clients, generate reports on chemical and logistic plant safety and environmental matters, and to ensure timely closures of issues with rectifying actions
- Assist Warehouse Manager in reviewing and developing SOPs, WIs, and RAs to meet regulatory standards and client’s requirements
- Implement OH programmers such as NID and Mandatory Medical Surveillance Programmes for staff to comply with legal requirements
- Monitor environmental issue such as Boundary Noise and Occupational Noise Monitoring, indoor air quality to liaise with external testing bodies for survey
- Assist in emergency response planning to developing procedures
- Participate and provide guidance in internal and external regulatory audits
- Support transport and logistic team on quality and safety issues
- Support documentation in Safety Management System
Applicant Should
- Have worked in Jurong Island and have exposure to chemical storage and logistics processes
- Have strong initiative with a good sense of responsibility, drive and be independent.
- Have knowledge of warehouse operations and understand loading bay loading/unloading, forklift traffic, and warehouse operation hazards
- Understand audit requirements & regulations related to environmental health and safety and the ability to lead internal audits
- Have good communication skills with staff and clients
- Have knowledge in document controlling and in Quality Management Systems
- Have experience in crisis management such as pandemic outbreak, haze, chemical spill/leak, and fire drills
Qualifications Required
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, SHE, or relevant studies
- Understand the requirements for BizSafe, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Standards. Knowledge of the STP Plus certificate will be advantageous.
- Preferably a registered WSHO
- Other certifications please specify (eg. Hazmat, ECO, FSM, SMO/SDO)
- Work experience in a similar job scope will be an advantage
