Overview
The following outlines the responsibilities and requirements for the warehouse position.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse Receiving: Unloading of goods from truck/shipping container. Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies. Verify/tally goods against delivery documents.
- Warehouse Storage: Properly label and stock in parts to the respective storage location. Utilisation of equipment (e.g. pallet jack, stacker and forklift).
- Inventory Management: Inventory count and working with WMS or ERP.
- Order picking and packing for internal production or shipping.
- Performing any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or manual handling is preferred.
- Proficient in using warehouse tools and equipment such as pallet jacks, stackers or forklifts.
- Physically able to perform manual work (e.g. lifting, carrying, standing) safely, medical clearance may be required based on job scope.
- Basic computer skills, experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Understanding of workplace safety standards and commitment to following all safety protocols.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and report issues promptly.
- Willing to perform manual labour and support overtime work when operationally required.
- This position is offered on a 6-month contract, with potential for renewal or conversion to a permanent role subject to satisfactory performance and organizational requirements.
