Warehouse Assistant

Role and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization operations
2. Work under supervision and direction of warehouse manager/supervisor
3. Help to efficiently carry out all product loading and unloading tasks
4. Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents
5. Inspect receivables for defects, damages, or missing items
6. Unload, stack, move, and place products in designated areas
7. Move and transfer products between various sections of the warehouse as needed
8. Use stacker, pallet jacks, hand carts, etc. to transfer and deliver goods in a safe manner
9. Perform detailed manual inventory counts
10. Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval
11. Stack, shelve, and stage items for storage and shipment as necessary
12. Collect, pick, prepare, package, and label goods for shipment according to the delivery order/packing list
13. Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders
14. Maintain good housekeeping to keep warehouse/work areas clean and organised
15. Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order
16. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management
17. Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
18. Assist with all companies certification compliance requirements
19. Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all times
20. Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
21. Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocol
22. Work with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
23. Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned
