Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Processing Shipments:

· Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders or packing slips.

· Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

· Organize and properly store received inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.

Order Picking and Packing:

· Pick items from inventory based on order requirements using handheld scanners or picking lists.

· Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper packaging materials and labelling are used.

· Prepare orders for shipping, including generating shipping labels and coordinating with carriers for pickup.

Inventory Management:

· Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.

· Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and locations using inventory management software or manual logs.

· Monitor inventory levels of essential items and communicate reorder needs to the warehouse supervisor.

Warehouse Organization and Cleanliness:

· Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

· Arrange inventory and shelving systems for efficient storage and accessibility.

· Dispose of packaging materials and other waste in accordance with company guidelines.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

· Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently.

· Perform routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to maintenance staff.

Compliance and Safety:

· Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

· Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and maintaining a safe working environment.

· Participate in training sessions related to safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
