Job Responsibilities:

Inspect Incoming Goods:Receive and inspect goods from vendors to verify they match purchase orders in terms of quantity, description, and quality. Document any discrepancies or damage and report them to the appropriate parties.

Stock Items:Efficiently stock items in their designated locations, ensuring proper organization and adherence to inventory management practices. Maintain accurate records of stock levels and locations.

Prepare Items for Collection/Delivery:Sort, pick, and pack items based on orders or delivery schedules. Ensure that items are prepared securely and accurately for dispatch, and check that all necessary documentation is included.

Issue Items:Process item issuance by verifying that descriptions, quantities, weights, and cargo dimensions match the request or order. Ensure all items are correctly documented, and records are updated accurately.

Daily Operations:Inventory operations, including the receipt of goods, issuing of items, and management of stock according to FIFO principles. Ensure that all processes are followed to maintain inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Perform Ad-Hoc Duties:Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Head of Department. This may include special projects, process improvements, or other activities to support departmental objectives.

Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum Secondary education.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar field.

Skills:

  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in basic computer applications and inventory management software.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Stamina: Physical ability to handle the demands of the role.
  • Safety Protocol: Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures and protocols.
