Job summary

Mid-level engineer with 2+ years in software development and strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms will contribute across Gmail, Photos, and Android data integrations. The Google Payments team strives for secure, seamless experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain ML-driven features and data pipelines for parsing and importing pass data from unstructured sources in Gmail, Photos, or Android into Google Wallet.
• Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning models and server-side infrastructure for extracting Wallet data from various file formats (PDFs, images, multimodal inputs).
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing and incorporating feedback to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with engineers, and cross-functional intelligence teams to push the boundaries of on-device and server-side model performance, accuracy, and latency.
