Job summary

A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research is seeking a Test Engineer to support wafer-level electrical testing, RF/mmWave characterization, and lab operations in the TCOE lab. Junior and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply, with training provided to develop expertise in advanced semiconductor testing.

Responsibilities include setting up measurement systems, performing device characterization across digital, analog, and RF devices, and coordinating daily lab logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field.
• Basic semiconductor testing knowledge and lab instrumentation.
• Familiarity with wafer probing, parametric testing, RF measurements or data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support automated wafer-level testing and electrical characterization.
• Set up, operate, and monitor measurement systems (probe stations, testers, VNAs).
• Perform wafer probing, device bring-up, debugging, and characterization for digital/analog/RF devices.
• Conduct measurements under varied conditions, including temperature and low-current testing.
• Assist with probe cards, RF probes, cabling, fixtures, and load boards.
• Coordinate lab logistics, wafer tracking, inventory, consumables and readiness.
• Maintain test documentation, calibration records, data, and issue logs.
• Contribute to test procedure development, SOPs and best practices.
• Perform basic health checks and coordinate vendor maintenance.
• Ensure safe operation and proper handling of wafers and ESD-sensitive materials.
