Job Description
Product Owner
• Responsibility for the delivery and support of a portfolio of infrastructure related product and services
• Responsible for the product management including planning, experimentation, engineering, security, compliance, supplier management and adoption
• Responsible for the procurement and management of contracts
• When required, present to stakeholders and Businesses on product offerings
• Analyze business feedback, demand and future business plans to develop product roadmaps
• Research and evaluate feasibility of any technologies that may improve the product
• Build and implement pilot or POCs
Infrastructure Engineering
• Build and support a highly available, reliable, secure and recoverable IT infrastructure and platform that complies to the Bank's and regulatory requirements, including:
o Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server, VMware products and third party software installation, upgrades and maintenance
o Installation of hardware and software
o Implement and review hardening of servers and systems to Bank's standards
o Maintenance and setup of file systems
o Resolve software problems with operating systems or third party products
o Maintenance of Anti-Malware/Virus System
o File System and Database Backups/restores
o Setup guidelines, process to enhanced current work activity
o Performance Monitoring
o Maintain system security and compliance
o Configuration management
o Implement DR plan and participate in DR exercise
• Supports the Solution Architects, Service Build, Change & Control Management and Service Recovery teams in design, build, configuration, testing and deployment
• Establish and implement Infrastructure as Code, tools and processes
• Track and implement infrastructure EOS/EOL plan, upgrades, tech refresh and patching
• Investigate infrastructure related incidents and remediation actions
• Participate in internal and external audit activities
• Liaise with external vendors to accomplish infrastructure design, development, and operations goals
Key Requirements
This position requires a hands-on engineer with strong technical expertise and extensive experience with on-premise infrastructure and cloud-based platforms:
• Degree in Computer Science related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in server/ system administration, troubleshooting issues and root cause analysis • At least 5 years experience with engineering, building, configuring and deployment of infrastructure solutions (on-premises, private cloud and public cloud) including:
o Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Chef and Ansible;
o Operating Systems such as Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux and Unix;
o Experience in Microsoft Hypervisor
o Knowledge and certified in Azure
o SAN storage and backup; o VMware;
o Containers such as OpenShift and Kubernetes; and
o Cloud such as AWS, Azure and GCP
• Creative and innovative thinking
• Problem solving and decision making
• Experience in integrating with 3rd party service platforms
