Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Testing & Operations Lead to drive operational readiness for technology changes in Trade Finance and Cash Management domains.

You will mentor a small multi-disciplinary team, conduct requirement analyses, and ensure comprehensive UAT and testing governance using TOSCA. Strong SWIFT/ISO20022 knowledge and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in financial institutions, preferably in Cash Management or Payments Operations.
• Strong understanding of SWIFT standards (MT/MX), ISO 20022 formats, CBPR+, and cross-border payment flows.
• Operations and Project management experience is a must (Cash Management/ Trade Finance/ Loans/ Channels operations).
• Solid experience in testing or test management, including UAT planning, test execution, and defect governance.
• Experience in managing small teams (5 to 10 people).
• Proficient in TOSCA or similar enterprise testing tools.

Job Description

You will be part of the Wholesale Operational Readiness Centre that supports Trade Finance Operations Centers, with effective implementation of Technology changes, reviewing Requirements from End User perspective, and ensure implementation through effective Testing, Training and Documentation.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead a small team to provide operational readiness support for technology changes to business and operation users
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback on proposed solution
• Participate in Functional Specs document review to ensure functional requirements meet business and/ or operations needs
• Assess operational impact and ensure operations requirements are included in the Functional Specs document
• Define areas of High Risk in collaboration with the operations and/ or business users.
• Define areas of High Business Values in collaboration with the operations and/ or business users.
• Assign risk weightage to requirements
• Engage business and operations users to prepare UAT scenarios
• Establish bidirectional traceability for requirements and test cases
• Prioritize Test Case design and execution in TOSCA
• Review UAT test cases and test results
• Publish test metrics
• Identify potential modules for automation
• Learn and master TOSCA tool which is a software testing tool used at UOB to design test cases and automate end to end testing
• Create test scenarios in TOSCA for test teams
• Ensure training on new system/ enhancement is conducted to impacted operations users
• Prepare target operating model document to help Operations update their operating procedures
• Provide post-implementation support to operations users
• Review and submit management reports

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 12 years of experience in financial institutions, preferably in Cash Management or Payments Operations.
• Strong understanding of SWIFT standards (MT & MX), ISO 20022 formats, CBPR+, and cross‑border payment flows.
• Operations and Project management experience is a must (Cash Management/ Trade Finance/ Loans/ Channels operations)
• Solid experience in testing or test management, including UAT planning, test execution, and defect governance.
• Experience in managing small team (5 to 10 people)
• Proficient in TOSCA or similar enterprise testing tools.
• Familiarity with GenAI tools (e.g., for analysis, documentation, or productivity) to improve UAT effectiveness is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing and guiding teams; able to lead discussions and influence stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset—drives issues to closure and delivers within project timelines.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across business, operations, technology, and project teams.
• Mature, self‑driven individual with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and people development skills.
