About the Department
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide a team of 4-5 members in reviewing LC/SBLC issuances and other Structured Trade Finance products.
  • Ensure financing requests align with approved structures and propose risk mitigation solutions at transaction level.
  • Review and approve transactions in accordance with the delegated authority.
  • Depending on business needs, act as key account holder to review LC/SBLC terms, contracts, and related documents to ensure deals are self-liquidating.
  • Conduct reasonable price checks, vessel verifications, and mark-to-market assessments.
  • Ensure adequate collateral and margin coverage, and coordinate with clients for top-ups when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies, regulatory requirements, AML/CFT procedures, and industry best practices, and monitor team adherence.
  • Deliver timely and accurate services in line with established Service Level Agreements.
  • Support the Division Head in reviewing documentation and recommending enhancements to improve workflows and procedures.
  • Assist the Division Head with internal and external audits, compliance and assurance reviews, and monthly reporting.
  • Conduct annual system access reviews, budgeting, and resource planning.
Job Requirements
  • 10 – 12 years of experience in trade operations and middle office functions, with strong knowledge of banking regulations and AML/CFT policies
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Solid knowledge of UCP, ISBP, URC URR, ISP, URDG, MAS/ABS Guidelines, with broad exposure to international trade practices.
  • Strong knowledge of trade finance products
  • Proficient in Excel (including macro); tech-savvy and adaptable to new systems
  • Analytical, detailed oriented, and reliable in follow-through
  • Collaborative and proactive in cross-functional coordination.
  • Project management experience is a plus
