Job description

Responsibilities

• Drive and be responsible for the conceptualization of the technical solution architecture based on project requirements and IT strategies. Participate in vendor/product/technology evaluation and selection for the solution proposal.

• Work with enterprise architects, systems SMEs, and product vendors to ensure the proposed technical solution complies with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and guidelines while meeting project objectives. Act as a bridge between enterprise architects and the project’s technical delivery team.

• Create and update technical documentation for the proposed solution architecture.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive the solution architecture process and obtain approval.

• Articulate and secure buy-in for the technical solution from IT management and the enterprise technology/architecture board.

• Undertake research and innovation to stay updated with industry and technology trends.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or related discipline.

• At least 10 years of working experience in the financial industry, with a minimum of 7 years in solution architect roles. Familiarity with system and project implementation lifecycle in a banking environment.

• Experience in conceptualizing scalable, resilient technical architecture solutions involving end-to-end integration between channels, systems, middleware, data warehouses, etc. Experience with integrating commercial off-the-shelf products and cloud solutions is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in system integration patterns, enterprise architecture, microservices architecture, and cloud computing services. Knowledge of system and network infrastructure is an added advantage.

• Broad knowledge of banking technologies and systems, including industry developments and trends. Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and programming (Java and/or .NET).

• Functional and operational knowledge in at least one of the following domains: Payments, Cash Management (preferred), Customer Touchpoints (Internet/mobile), Customer Onboarding & AML, Digital Workflow, Data Warehouse & Analytics.

• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF and cloud solution architect or similar are highly desirable.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and secure buy-in from management and stakeholders.

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
