Position Overview
This role works with IBG segment manager and will work closely with internal stakeholders such as segment and product teams, as well as external agencies and vendors. This is a hands-on events and campaigns specialist role where the candidate will be required to execute events, create content, and assist in the rollout of segment marketing campaigns.
As an Events & Campaigns Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing a variety of marketing events that align with our brand objectives and strategic goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful events that enhance brand visibility, customer engagement, and ultimately contribute to business growth. This is a hands-on position requiring direct involvement in all aspects of event execution and campaign delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Events Management
- Plan and execute a calendar of corporate events across all of IBG, including proprietary DBS events and key industry sponsored events (in-person, digital, and hybrid formats) for clients and communities
- Manage end-to-end event planning and logistics including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, collateral design/creation, client registration, onsite management, and post-event reporting
- Build strong relationships and enable seamless collaboration with diverse stakeholders including MDs, PAs, and external vendors
- Deliver effective and creative communications to create awareness for events for both internal and external audiences
- Develop and adhere to detailed event timelines and schedules
Segment Marketing Campaigns- Develop and execute marketing and branding strategies for large corporate client segments
- Partner with segment teams to lead brand building, lead generation, and customer engagement initiatives
- Deliver contextualised segment marketing programmes to drive product and digital solution launches
- Develop an insight-led programme of thought leadership content and events for corporate clients
- Collaborate with Strategic Marketing on external communications like press statements to align with brand standards
- Measure campaign success and continuously improve lead generation
- Continuously analyse competition and customer trends to refine marketing and branding strategies
Creative & Content Management- Coordinate with internal team or agencies to design compelling event collateral, including invitations, banners, signage, digital assets, and promotional materials
- Oversee the development of event content including speaker presentations, marketing materials, and digital experiences
- Ensure brand consistency across all event touchpoints and materials
Digital Marketing & Social Media- Utilise social media and digital platforms to promote events, generate buzz, and encourage audience participation, e.gWECHAT, Xiao Hong Shu and Douyin.
- Leverage digital marketing and social media for awareness, acquisition and advocacy
- Implement lead capture and nurturing strategies to maximise event ROI
- Manage event registration systems and attendee communication processes, ensuring seamless user experience from registration through follow-up
Analytics & Performance Management- Gather and analyse comprehensive post-event data, attendee feedback, and performance metrics to evaluate event success
- Prepare detailed post-event reports with actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Track and report on key performance indicators including attendance rates, engagement metrics, lead generation, and ROI
Industry & Competitor Knowledge & Innovation- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in event marketing
- Research and recommend new event formats, technologies, and engagement strategies to enhance programme effectiveness
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 8-10 years of proven experience planning and executing successful marketing events, preferably within banking, financial services, or professional services industries
- Demonstrated track record of managing large-scale and white-glove events
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Canva for content creation
- Strong understanding of social media marketing platforms and digital marketing tools e.g. Linkedin, Line, Wechat, Instagram etc.
- Familiarity with event technology platforms / software including registration system e.g. CVENT, virtual/hybrid event platforms, and mobile event app and GEN AI applications
- Exceptional project management skills with ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior executives and external clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in data-driven decision making and campaign measurement
- Creative mindset with keen eye for design, brand consistency, and attendee experience
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage external vendor relationships
- Hands-on approach with willingness to be directly involved in all aspects of event execution and campaign delivery
- Results-oriented with strong business acumen and understanding of marketing ROI
- Highly organised with exceptional time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable with willingness to work outside regular business hours as required by event schedules
- Proactive attitude with strong initiative and ability to work independently
- Experience with virtual and hybrid event platforms and technologies
- Knowledge of financial services products and regulatory environment
- Experience managing events across multiple geographic regions
