Reporting to the CEO, International (who reports to Group CEO) & managing a sales team that's geographically spread out, this role will help to create demand and engagement at CXO level with existing and new customer accounts. The business aspires to be at $10m USD ARR by 2027. To date, they have raised close to USD 20m and will end 2025 with a ~3m USD ARR.

Our client is a privately held, high-growth, early-stage SaaS company focused on delivering machine learning-driven solutions for the BFSI sector. Their products streamline document processing and decision-making, helping accelerate innovation in the digital economy. They serve clients across Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on emerging markets. Deal sizes range from $100K to $1M, with sales cycles of 3 to 12 months.

Backed by four blue-chip private equity firms, the company is making significant investments in ASEAN, actively hiring across Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia, with plans to expand into Australia. To lead their commercial expansion, we are hiring their first VP of Sales, APAC to build and scale the sales team across current and future markets.

Description

Reporting to the CEO, International (who reports to Group CEO) & managing a sales team that's geographically spread out, this role will help to create demand and engagement at CXO level with existing and new customer accounts. The business aspires to be at $10m USD ARR by 2027. To date, they have raised close to USD 20m and will end 2025 with a ~3m USD ARR.

Main responsibilities for the role include:

  • Design a GTM strategy for each market, in collaboration with the country sales managers.
  • Identify new engagement opportunities via regional partner network.
  • Identify sales opportunities outside across enterprise and mid-market segments.
  • Own revenue target for the region and influence budget setting for various markets & sales segments.
  • Deepen relationships with CXOs from key accounts, organized focused events to network with CFOs and CTOs.
  • Identify customer pain points and partner the engineering team to develop relevant solutions / customizations.
  • Coach the direct and indirect sales teams and define a more efficient customer success model.
  • Lead development and hiring of strong talent from the external market.
  • Identify investments areas: markets or accounts and pitch to the board for relevant budgets.

Profile

To be a successful candidate for this role, you have:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Ten or more years in SaaS sales, with at least three years in a regional leadership capacity.
  • Manage a regionally distributed team of sales, pre-sales, sales engineers and grow the headcount cautiously.
  • Deep network in BFSI accounts in APAC and ideally, exposure retail banking software products.
  • Strong track record of creating GTM strategies, ideally in a scale up, that includes opening new markets and acquiring new accounts.
  • Expertise in implementing metrics-based business plans, compensation plans and OKRs.
  • Strong ability to manage budgets and driving profitable growth.
  • Flexibility to travel as the role will require up to 30% travel
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

Our client offers you an opportunity to be in a privately held, high-growth firm that is growing 2x Y-Y (though on a small base currently). Backed by four blue-chip private equity operators, they are growing across (1) New countries (2) Products (3) Customer segments. This role would be a great fit if you want to be in a highly visible and challenging role that allows you to lead a team, launch new markets like Australia etc.

The OTE for the role is split 60-40 and the fixed compensation would be in the SGD 300k - 380k range. There is immense growth potential as they will raise follow on rounds as they grow ARR. Based on strong performance; there will be an opportunity to grow into a CXO role in 36 months.
