You're like a three-headed dragon: a powerful and mythical creature able to unify the design language of a large company, inspire other designers to achieve greatness, and still find time to push pixels with relish.

What you'll be doing

We have a large and complex product ecosystem spanning 6 countries and a team of 60 people from 20 different countries. We need a visionary, decisive Principal Designer to lead the way and lead by example, hands-on. Your responsibilities will include:

• Checking in with teams and projects you lead independently or with key project team members.
• Balancing high aesthetic standards with the big picture.
• Contributing to UX strategy and maturity through discovery activities and defining high-level user stories.
• Producing user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design specs independently or with team members to guide development sprints.
• Communicating research findings and design rationale effectively, utilizing data from analytics or user testing.
• Exploring and creating new patterns for our Design Language System, while balancing hands-on work with mentoring.
• Leading sessions to share work and engaging in design reviews at the executive level to guide stakeholder feedback towards problem-solving.

Experience and skills

• Demonstrated design excellence in multiple successful projects.
• Ability to understand complex interconnected problems and think creatively for solutions.
• Experience in creating structure from ambiguity and translating vision into tangible outputs.
• Confident communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Understanding of business needs, comfortable with qualitative and quantitative data, and skilled at identifying core problems.
• 10+ years of experience in design, with 4+ years managing teams in medium or large organizations (preferred).

This role is within the Institutional Banking Group design team, based in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Design. The team aims to deliver best-in-class digital experiences for retail and wealth customers.
