Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) seeks an experienced Non-Financial Risk Manager to lead second line advisory, oversee risk metrics, and strengthen data analytics for operational risk. The role collaborates with BU/SU teams, drives incident reporting enhancements, and contributes to regulatory submissions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in risk management within banking, strong stakeholder engagement, and proficiency in Power BI, Power Query and Excel.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of operational risk management, quality assurance or other risk control-related function experience from the banking industry.
• Experienced in internal and external stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with data analytics/visualization tools (Power Query, Power BI, Excel).
• Degree holder or its equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Self-starter, with initiative and self-drive to achieve good quality work.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong team player and collaborator to achieve the team objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders within the Bank.
• Ability to articulate analysis/concepts through reports and presentations.
• Highly flexible and adaptive to manage varying exigencies at work.

Responsibilities

• Provide Second Line advisory, review and challenge to BU/SUs in operational risk management.
• Review and enhance the Operational Risk Incident Reporting Programme and Data Breach incident management.
• Provide risk advisory on data leakage prevention and educate stakeholders.
• Drive data analysis, data quality review of risk incidents, and monthly reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly reporting of operational risk issues for management committees.
• Prepare operational risk reports for regulatory submissions.
• Lead or participate in projects (e.g. risk data analytics).
• Provide secretariat support, including presentations and minutes.
