Job summary

1011 United Overseas Bank Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Infrastructure Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across Windows, Linux, Unix, and Active Directory. You will develop hardening standards, automate compliance checks, monitor for drift, and drive remediation in collaboration with infrastructure and security teams.

You will define security requirements for privileged and non-human identities, support audits, and build reusable configurations to scale

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security hardening standards for Windows, Linux, Unix, AD and related technologies.
• Develop automated compliance profiles and monitor systems for configuration drift and deviations from baselines.
• Analyze findings, recommend remediation with platform and app teams.
• Strengthen AD security including privileged access, GPOs, authentication and delegation.
• Define security requirements for privileged and non-human identities and lifecycle management.
• Identify and remediate unmanaged, orphaned, or excessively privileged accounts.
• Provide security engineering support for new tech, upgrades, incidents, and audits.
• Develop reusable security configurations, guidance, automation, and engineering patterns.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Identity and Access Management, Security Architecture, Cyber Defense, Risk and Governance teams.

Job Description

The Infrastructure Security Engineering team designs, develops, and maintains the security capabilities required to protect the Bank’s open-system environment.

The incumbent establishes security hardening standards, implements automated compliance assessments, monitors systems for configuration drift and non-compliance, and works with relevant technology teams to drive remediation.

The scope covers Windows, Linux and Unix platforms, Active Directory, privileged access, service accounts, application identities, and other non-human identities. The role supports the consistent implementation of security controls throughout the technology lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain security hardening standards for Windows, Linux, Unix, Active Directory, and related open-system technologies.
• Develop automated compliance profiles and continuously monitor systems for configuration drift and deviations from approved security baselines.
• Analyze compliance findings, recommend corrective actions, and work with platform and application teams to drive remediation.
• Strengthen Active Directory security, including privileged access, administrative controls, Group Policy, authentication, delegation, and directory configurations.
• Define security requirements for privileged and non-human identities, including account ownership, credential protection, access control, monitoring, periodic review, and lifecycle management.
• Support the identification and remediation of unmanaged, orphaned, shared, inactive, or excessively privileged accounts.
• Provide security engineering expertise for new technology implementations, platform upgrades, vulnerabilities, incidents, risk assessments, exceptions, and audits.
• Develop reusable security configurations, technical guidance, automation, and engineering patterns to improve the consistency and scalability of platform security.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Application, Identity and Access Management, Security Architecture, Cyber Defense, Risk, and Governance teams.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications or professional certifications in cybersecurity, information technology, or engineering are advantageous.
• Strong hands-on experience in the administration, configuration, and security of Windows, Linux, Unix, and Active Directory environments, including the implementation of security hardening controls.
• Good understanding of privileged access, non-human identity security, configuration compliance, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
• Ability to translate security policies and requirements into practical and implementable technical controls.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to remain effective under pressure, manage competing priorities, and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Experience working in a financial institution or another highly regulated environment is preferred.
