Job summary

Sembcorp, a leading energy and urban solutions provider headquartered in Singapore, seeks an HSSE Head for the Gas & Related Services business. The role governs the HSSE agenda, establishes governance, standards and a multi-year strategy with clear accountability across operations and projects.

Leading with strong risk management, governance and performance oversight, you will drive safety culture, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement while collaborating with senior leaders and HSSE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline; relevant professional certification or training in HSSE management is advantageous.
• At least 15 years of progressive HSSE experience in energy, gas, utilities or heavy industry, including substantial leadership responsibility for enterprise governance, process safety, compliance, assurance, performance management and transformation across multiple operations or Business Units.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the Gas Business HSSE operating model, decision rights, accountabilities, standards, critical controls and minimum requirements, ensuring alignment with company policy, regulatory obligations and leading industry practice.
• Shape and secure senior leadership endorsement of the multi-year HSSE strategy and annual improvement roadmap, with measurable objectives, leading and lagging indicators, maturity targets and clear executive governance.
• Provide authoritative HSSE input to business strategy, investment decisions, major projects, acquisitions and operational plans; challenge risk acceptance where required and promote visible leadership, ownership and accountability.
