Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CAMS, CRCM, CCEP) a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of compliance experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within fintech or financial services.
  • Deep knowledge of financial regulations in Singapore; experience in other markets and jurisdiction is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of fintech environment and able to adapt in fast moving atmosphere.
  • Proven ability to lead compliance teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance program tailored to the fintech industry.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on Singapore’s operations, proactively advising senior management.
  • Lead compliance risk assessments and establish controls to mitigate compliance risks across products and services.
  • Manage relationships with MAS, auditors, and market experts to ensure effective communication and compliance adherence.
  • Support senior management team and the group functions in driving new business initiatives by providing expertise in the MAS regulatory framework.
  • As MLRO, oversee the implementation and management of anti-money laundering (AML), KYC, CFT, and fraud prevention frameworks.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Coordinate audits and investigations related to compliance breaches or incidents.
  • Report compliance status and risk metrics regularly to the Senior Management team and internal committees.
  • Ensure compliance with listing and exchange rules, facilitating product growth through regulatory advice.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour throughout the organization.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Compliance,Singapore to lead and oversee all compliance functions within our fintech organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while enabling business agility and innovation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the MAS regulatory frameworks, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance program tailored to the fintech industry.

- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on Singapore’s operations, proactively advising senior management.

- Lead compliance risk assessments and establish controls to mitigate compliance risks across products and services.

- Manage relationships with MAS, auditors, and market experts to ensure effective communication and compliance adherence.

- Support senior management team and the group functions, in driving new business initiatives by providing expertise in the MAS regulatory framework.

- As MLRO, oversee the implementation and management of anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer (KYC),Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and fraud prevention frameworks.

- Design and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and company policies.

- Coordinate audits and investigations related to compliance breaches or incidents.

- Report compliance status and risk metrics regularly to the Senior - Management team and internal committees.

- Managing our platform’s listing framework, ensuring compliance with listing and exchange rules, and facilitating product growth through regulatory advice

- Ensuring Platform’s products and services meet regulatory standards and supporting the growth and development of new products and services.

- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour throughout the organization.
