Job description

Objectives:

  • Based in Singapore, you will be responsible for leading Global Finance Team, partnering closely with senior leadership globally and regionally to ensure achievement of financial target set by shareholders
  • Be a business partner and source of advice to the Board of Directors and Senior management Team to meet their respective financial targets
  • Be a change agent to drive continuous improvements in all areas, identify and minimize related risks to the business and decide on corrective action (e.g. forex issues)
  • Ensure compliance (legal, tax, Code of Conduct) of legal entities with global processes and standards as well as local laws
  • Work with shareholders and senior management to encourage and support strategic growth opportunities through acquisitions

Job Tasks:


  • Lead a Global Finance Team in Controlling, Consolidation, Treasury, Tax and local Finance and continuously review and optimize the Global Finance Team structure and cost
  • Establish a yearly budget for the Group and present to the Board of Director (BoD) for approval, analyse monthly deviations to budget and decide on corrective actions to achieve budget and present to the BoD
  • Monitor closely on revenue performance i.e purchasing price vs selling price to ensure a desired margin level is reached according to the agreed target
  • Establish comprehensive approaches globally to optimize the difference between Group EBIT and EAT (Financing cost, FX management)
  • Establish independent judgement of financial implications by developing business models for alternative scenarios and formulating sensitive analyses for critical assumptions
  • Establish regular forecast (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and identify areas for improvement as well as implement agreed corrective actions. Manage Financial KPI and Capex requirements.
  • Ensure sufficient liquidity support for the business needs, negotiate loans with various global & local banks for the Group and its subsidiaries with close cooperation with shareholders
  • Approve purchase orders, investments, credit limits, bank lines according to the Group’s approved matrix and Delegation of Authority (DoA). Manage the DOA limits and process internally with CEO, management team and HR, adjust where appropriate.
  • Ensure legal and tax compliance as well as corporate governance in all subsidiaries
  • Participate in the Board and Audit Committee meetings as well as quarterly Business Review Meetings with Regions & CEO
  • Lead continuous improvement projects related to finance, tax & legal due diligence upon Board approval
  • Reporting to the main shareholder according to the requirements set
  • Monitor on regular basis projects set by the business team and give advice & guidance where needed

Key Requirements:


  • A degree major in finance or accounting, preferably with financial controller experience
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in a Senior Managerial position in finance from a Multi-National Company in Manufacturing industry preferred
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of analytical and problem solving skills and able to manage various finance functions within a global organisation
  • Be a Business Partner to the CEO and Senior Management in the Group (working experience in other functions would be an advantage)
  • Possess a global perspective and experience working with diverse cultures in large multinational companies and highly dynamic environments (working experience in other countries would be an advantage)
  • IFRS and GAAP knowledge
  • Good SAP knowledge, Microsoft and Reporting systems
