Responsibilities
In this role, you will accelerate divisional Net Growth from assigned Global customer accounts by:
Retaining Existing Business:
- Maximize existing business retention.
- Drive new business wins.
- Protect and enhance profit margins.
- Increase overall customer satisfaction.
- Drive innovation through targeted customer solutions.
- Orchestrate and coordinate Global operational alignment.
Broadening Customer Relationships:
- Build a common agenda via Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with a 3-year horizon having clear vision, joint goals, and set business priorities.
- Develop and own relationships with key customer stakeholders, closely leveraging the relationship with the Executive Sponsor.
Account Management:
- Put in place appropriate account management processes for each assigned global customer account.
- Build and orchestrate a lively cross-functional account community.
- Coordinate local account teams, consolidate overall account information, and monitor Account Development Plans and KPIs for regional global customer accounts.
Renewal and New Business:
- Proactively manage the renewal agenda.
- Drive global consistency of commercials, concept of operations, and concept of systems.
- Responsible for ensuring all contractual documentation is in place.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the customer.
- Feed the "Voice of the Customer" into the account strategy setting and review process.
- Mobilize and support Executive Sponsor’s activities for the account to facilitate delivery of the Global customer account plans.
Global Operational Alignment:
- Ensure the orchestration & alignment of operational requirements detailed in the Global customer account plans/Joint business plan.
- Support major operational issues or escalation management, including compliance issues.
Innovation and Profit Margin Enhancement:
- Drive DSC innovation agenda into assigned Global customer account plans and customer organization.
- Increase profitability on assigned Global customer accounts by upselling higher-margin products and solutions.
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role of frontline Account Management and Business Development activities.
Proven experience in a senior leadership role managing and directing a large, high performing team – essential. - Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Operations and appropriate commercial strategies - essential.
- A proven track record of working in a highly complex global, regional, and local matrix environment and across DHL Business Units – essential.
- A proven track record of delivering transformational growth.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex projects.
- Highly developed facilitation and influencing skills at all levels.
- Process-oriented with a consultative/collaborative approach.
- Experience of working with and respecting multiple cultures.
- Strong global stakeholder management and communication skills - essential.
- Ability to analyze and filter complex data – essential.
- Ability to deal with complex issues in a fast-changing global environment – essential.
- Strong business and financial understanding - essential.
