Job summary

The role involves managing the Finance Operations team, reviewing financial processes, and supporting ongoing transformation projects in the securities broking industry. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, with 8-10 years of relevant experience and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
  • Prior experience in finance automation and digitalization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of securities business is preferred.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage the Finance Operations team
  • Review the payment and receipt functions and address raised
  • Review clients’ and brokers’ reconciliation
  • Review Investment security tagging, update of last done price and investment reports
  • Review daily entries for posting in accounting system
  • Review payment, receipt, miscellaneous, and trade debtor reconciliation
  • Review AML transactions
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Lead process improvements and drive efficiency within the team.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Finance team
  • Have a good understanding of end-to-end Finance function in a securities broking industry to support ongoing transformation projects or new product launches
  • Handle ad-hoc projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance with good understanding of business processes in Finance operations
  • Prior experience in finance automation and digitalization initiatives
  • Good communication and ability to work collaboratively across different stakeholders’ groups and deliver timely results in a dynamic working environment
  • Experience managing and leading a team
  • Knowledge of securities business is preferred
  • Has a positive attitude, meticulous and a fast learner
