VP, Finance and Accounting (Crypto Products)

Our Client:

Our client is one of the top Investment companies, headquartered in Japan. They are currently looking for an experienced VP, Finance and Accounting to join their growing team in Singapore. Familiarity with the CMS portal and MAS requirements for crypto products is highly desirable.

The Responsibilities:

• Oversee the company's financial books, including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and month-end expenses.
• Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Implement and oversee corporate finance functions, including treasury management and strategic financial planning.
• Handle transfer pricing responsibilities.
• Primary point of contact for MAS regulatory reporting, with a particular focus on crypto products and compliance with CMS portal requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate submissions to MAS, staying updated on regulatory changes and incorporating them into the company’s processes.
• Coordinate with the agent on the GST submission.
• Lead the transition from Xero to NetSuite, ensuring a smooth implementation process in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Provide oversight for bookkeeping and administrative functions to ensure the smooth operation of the office.
• Assist in building a robust finance team, supporting recruitment efforts for additional finance staff.
• Work closely with the CFO, CEO, and other senior executives to align financial strategies with the company’s broader goals.
• Contribute to decision-making processes by providing financial insights and data-driven recommendations.

The Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a strong background in buy-side financial operations.
• Proven expertise in corporate finance, treasury management, and regulatory reporting, particularly in multi-asset classes.
• Familiarity with the CMS portal and MAS requirements for crypto products is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with financial systems, including transitioning to or managing NetSuite, is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage BAU-heavy tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external regulators.
