About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Director of Engineering to join our high frequency crypto trading team. In this role, you will build high performance trading systems. You will need excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.


Responsibilities:
  • Build low-latency trading systems to ensure performance and reliability in high-frequency trading environments.
  • Manage the development team, delegate tasks, monitor project progress, and ensure team objectives are met on time.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental projects, ensuring effective alignment between technical and business requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance existing trading infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide technical support.
  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers to implement and optimize quantitative trading strategies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to ensure code readability and maintainability.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of effective data organization and utilization.
  • Thrive in high-pressure environments and respond quickly to resolve unexpected challenges.
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of experience in developing low-latency, high frequency trading systems, preferably with some experience in crypto.
  • Proficiency in Java, with a track record of efficient and optimized coding.
  • Knowledge of crypto markets and trading instruments.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Chinese would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
Nice to Haves:
  • Team management experience with the ability to delegate tasks and oversee team members' work.
  • Proficiency in other languages, such as C++ and Python.
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency protocols.
