Investment Services Private Market

The Investment Services Private Market (ISPVM) Department provides strategic investment services and financial management for GIC's Private Markets. Leveraging data and emerging technologies, the department manages deal structuring, due diligence, financial operations, tax structuring, valuations, and financial reporting.

Business Strategy & Management (ISPVM)

GIC's ISPVM department is seeking a Vice President of Business Strategy and Management to shape strategic direction and oversee implementation within the department.

Responsibilities:
  1. Strategy Development: Formulate and implement business strategies to drive growth and efficiency.
  2. Strategic Planning: Understand business priorities, develop new operating models, programs, processes, and tools to achieve strategic outcomes.
  3. Partnerships and Collaboration: Partner with GIC teams to drive operational excellence, digitalization, and cross-departmental initiatives.
  4. Market Infrastructure: Collaborate with partners to evolve market infrastructure and best practices.
  5. Analytics and Reporting: Provide insights to support decision-making around strategy and financials.
  6. Project Management: Oversee projects, ensure effective change management, and align initiatives with strategic goals.
  7. Implementation: Translate enterprise strategies into actionable plans for private markets.
  8. Data and Technology: Work with data, technology, and operations teams on platform development, data governance, and analytics.
  9. Change Management: Monitor and facilitate change implementation and adaptation.
  10. Business Management: Develop policies to enhance performance and oversee operational metrics.
  11. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, costs, and business planning.
  12. Support and Administration: Support training, stakeholder engagement, and administrative functions.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Degree in Business, Finance, or related field; minimum 7 years relevant experience in financial services or strategy consulting.
  2. Experience in strategic planning and project management.
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  4. Ability to drive change and foster collaboration.
  5. Proactive, versatile self-starter capable of managing multiple projects.
  6. Strong data analytics skills and ability to translate complex data into insights.
  7. Knowledge of private markets is advantageous.
