Summary:

The Tech Lead for the Workbench project will guide the architecture and design of new Workbench personas and workflows, leveraging best practices and design patterns. This role requires strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in software development and data analysis. The Tech Lead will also mentor team members, support their career growth, conduct performance reviews, and facilitate conflict resolution. They will play a key role in implementing DevOps practices and ensuring the continuous delivery of applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for implementing DevOps & Tech Workbench enabler tools/applications & standardizations.

  • Lead continuous delivery of applications and infrastructure.

  • Perform architecture reviews and provide advisory services for new and existing applications to enhance reusability, reliability, scalability, and performance.

  • Assess and identify duplication of components and provide recommendations for streamlining.

  • Stay current with the latest technological developments and recommend new opportunities and technologies to the development community.

  • Work with cross-functional architecture and development teams to analyze and design solutions.

  • Advise on and build standard architecture patterns.

  • Support the design and development of process automation for DevOps & Workbench activities.

  • Support documentation of standard processes and best practices.

  • Conduct continuous experimentation of Continuous Delivery and Testing processes and practices.

  • Perform hands-on coding, unit testing, and automated functional testing.

  • Conduct research into software issues and products as required.

  • Work with the latest tools and techniques.

  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced, global environment.

Requirements:

  • 9-12 years of experience as a Developer/Development Lead.

  • Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in software development and data analysis.

  • Deep understanding of DevOps automation, containerization, and orchestration using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

  • 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

  • Experience with highly scalable distributed systems.

  • Experience with tools like Jenkins, Maven, Git, SonarQube, Fortify, Confluence, Jira, and Artifactory.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Strong understanding of Linux.

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (e.g., XP, Scrum).

  • Knowledge of software best practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD).

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
