VP/AVP, Business Analyst, RMG READ, Risk Management Group

Business Function
Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks. We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

About The Role:
The primary role of the candidate as a Functional Business Analyst is to:

  • Transform the business needs into actionable tasks and deliverables.
  • Convert data into insights via control towers and visualisation widgets within Work Benches.
  • Drive the business analysis and project implementation.

This will be a key role within the RMG Risk Enterprise Architecture & Digital team to drive the Digital Agenda and transform user journey with a focus on Credit Risk.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with RMG users and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate into user stories, business analysis, or functional specifications.
  • Analyse the data flow and user requirements to propose the necessary system solutioning, ETL processing and database schema.
  • Develop project timelines, sprint goals and collaborate with technology partners to deliver solutions within an Agile framework.
  • Develop Data API and create visualisation widgets using in-house developed toolsets (RDI).
  • Draft test cases and conduct UAT and Live verification to ensure solution quality.
  • Coordinate with various user groups, stakeholders, tech partners and UX designers across different workstreams and dependencies to implement the project within timelines.
  • Manage project scope and schedule and provide timely and clear updates or escalation to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Maintain all required documentation related to data flow, the design and process changes to a high standard for audit readiness and knowledge transfer.
  • Continue BAU support and system enhancement to ensure the solution is maintained and utilised for business outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Degree / master's with minimum 6 years' experience in banking, software industry or consulting in similar roles.
  • Experience in system implementation or projects rollout as a PO, Business Analyst or scrum master in an Agile delivery squad.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end flow with data architectures to system flow and Workbench / Workflow / Widgets concepts.
  • Strong communication skills to convert complicated technical concepts into layman's terms, and present project updates to stakeholders clearly.
  • Mandatory to have strong SQL and database design skills and be comfortable working with large amounts of data.
  • Experience with the below will be a strong added advantage:
    • MongoDB and MQL
    • Widgets and dashboard creation
    • Domain knowledge in Risk Management specifically on Credit Risk.
