Job summary

DBS Bank is seeking a senior QA professional to lead the Group Audit QAIP program in the COO Office. You will independently assess internal audit quality and ensure compliance with IIA standards and regulatory expectations.

The role requires substantial experience in audit quality reviews, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to coach teams while maintaining independence in QAIP processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline; CIA/CPA/CA/CISA/CRMA are highly advantageous.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in internal audit or related governance/assurance roles.
• Strong knowledge of IIA standards, audit lifecycle, and regulatory expectations.
• Ability to communicate complex quality findings to senior stakeholders clearly.
• Independent, objective, meticulous, and resilient with strong coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Assessments: independently conduct QAIP and lifecycle reviews (planning, fieldwork, reporting, closure).
• Provide Independent Challenge: review workpapers and documentation with professional skepticism.
• Prepare QAIP reports, thematic findings and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Deficiency Management: track QAIP deficiencies and drive timely remediation actions.
• Coaching and Development: mentor audit teams while preserving QAIP independence.
• Support External Reviews: coordinate external quality assessments and evidence management.
• Strategic Improvement: identify recurring themes and propose methodology or training improvements.
• Maintain Independence: ensure separation from methodology design and governance activities.
• Mentorship: guide junior team members in QAIP practices.
