Responsibilities
1. Volunteer Engagement Support (B2C and B2B):
- Serves as the first point of contact between the volunteer or partner organization and EQUAL, representing EQUAL’s brand and directly impacting the volunteer's experience at EQUAL.
- Support the volunteer’s onboarding experience and attending corporate inquiries in a professional manner, while anticipating their needs.
- Support in conceptualizing and executing volunteer programs in collaboration with the partner organization.
- Support in designing and executing volunteer appreciation and welfare initiatives.
- Train volunteers in the areas of stable maintenance and befriending programs.
- Co-develop compelling and inspiring marketing messages to volunteers that appeal to the volunteer’s life stage.
- Support EQUAL in fostering a community culture of possibilities, compassion, partnerships, and volunteerism.
2. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Generate and record actionable feedback by corporate partner organizations.
- Develop recommendations for both immediate and long-term improvements to the volunteer experience and the volunteer impact on beneficiaries.
- Monitor and flag potential corporate engagements that need to be followed up on, to the Volunteer Manager.
- Streamline and enhance ‘value-adding’ processes.
- Record and assist in analyzing volunteer output and outcome metrics, on a bi-monthly basis.
- Conduct research on emerging trends and approaches in volunteer management.
- Analyze data and provide insights to support the development of volunteer management strategies.
3. Administrative Support:
- Consistently update and maintain volunteer databases and Volunteer Management SOPs.
- Administrative support for volunteer recruitment campaigns
- Prepare compelling presentation decks for external parties: volunteer training, corporate proposals and Committee meetings.
- Events set up and tear down.
- Collate and apply for financial claim reimbursements from approved grants.
Qualifications
Polytechnic diploma or professional qualifications.
Passionate in developing a strong volunteerism culture at EQUAL, putting the beneficiaries and people at the center of our intentions and activities. A strong sense of responsibility and personal integrity is essential. Meticulous and detail-oriented with a composure that can handle challenging situations.
Active, enjoy outdoors, outgoing, love to communicate, love animals and a team player.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Intermediate to Advanced- Interpersonal Skills (Communication, Active Listening, Empathy, and Problem-solving)
- Intermediate to Advanced - Organizational Skills (Time Management, Prioritization, Planning, Attention to Detail)
- Event Planning/ Project Management
- Front Line Facing Roles – Customer Service, Volunteer Engagement, Sales, etc
- Training, Teaching or Presenting
- Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management
Desirable Experience (preferred, but not necessary):
- Experience in the social service sector, in volunteer engagement and working with corporations
- Working with Animals
