Visiting Teaching Appointment (Faculty of Law) at NUS for AY2026-27

Applications for Visiting Teaching Appointments AY2026-27

We welcome applications for visitors to teach at NUS Law in Singapore for the academic year 2026-27.

Teaching commitments

Courses are conducted in an intensive format, with each course comprising 27 contact hours, taught in 3-hour seminars, three times per week over three weeks. Classes are generally held on weekdays, with some in the evening. Visitors must travel to Singapore and attend at NUS’s Kent Ridge campus.

Visitors can choose from the following teaching periods:

  • Last three weeks of August 2026 (10-28 August 2026)
  • First three weeks of September 2026 (31 August–18 September 2026)
  • Last three weeks of January 2027 (11-29 January 2027)
  • First three weeks of February 2027 (1-19 February 2027)

Availability for the entire chosen period is expected. (Full academic calendar here.)

Honorarium

An all-inclusive honorarium starting from SGD 23,000 will be offered, depending on the appointment level. Airfare and accommodation costs are the responsibility of the visitors.

Additional information

Proposed courses should not significantly overlap with existing offerings at NUS Law. For course details, see the list for AY2024-25 here.

Visitors must submit all reading materials electronically (.doc or .pdf) for upload and distribution; printed materials and student-purchased books are not provided.

Application process

Please submit your application by 1 August 2025, including your course proposal and preferred teaching periods (multiple options are encouraged). Your proposal should include learning outcomes and seminar content.

The Faculty Curriculum Committee will decide by November 2025.
