Job summary

Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in middle/back office roles at a reputable International Commodity bank.
- Strong knowledge of Trade Finance products and regulatory frameworks (UCP600, ISBP, ISP, URDG, URC).
- Hands-on experience in risk management and collateral evaluation.

Job Purpose
- Responsible for administering, monitoring and managing structured and unstructured facilities of Trade and Commodity Finance for all commodities clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform independent transactional risk analysis (such as performance risk, collateral evaluation, review of contracts, etc.) with reference to the approved credit facilities.
- Participate in discussion with Front office on client’s modus operandi, trade flow, during credit review and support the Relationship Managers in the structuring of the business.
- Client contact and liaison with Operations to ensure smooth execution of the transactions.
- Manage the supporting collaterals for Structured Inventory Financing under CMA and follow up with payment instruments. Follow up with monitoring requirements to ensure successful end-to-end transaction completion.
- Liaise with internal department, customers for cash collateral movement/top up, monitor transaction flow including update of spreadsheet used to monitor client’s collateral, follow up of master LC, export proceeds, tracking goods movement, collateral value to ensure smooth turnaround of transaction.
- Monitor Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio to ensure that it is not breached and conduct margin call whenever necessary.
- Perform Mark to Market (MTM) valuation and monitor cash collateral requirements.
- Perform onsite visits to storage tanks/warehouses locally or overseas when necessary.
- Keep abreast of market price movement and highlight any adverse market news to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Head Office on the middle office setup and model and to train and impart knowledge to junior staff the daily functions of a middle office.
- Assist with the trade finance operations work as and when necessary.
- Perform any tasks / duties as assigned by Department Head / Management from time to time.
- Perform AML name screening on documents received and vessel movement checking.
Job Requirements
- University graduate in Banking and Finance, Accounting or related disciplines.
- At least 10 years of middle office and/or back-office experience working in a reputable International Commodity bank with exposures in handling a diverse portfolio of Energy, Hard, Metal and Soft commodities.
- Hands on experience in collateral management, risk assessment and transactional monitoring.
- Strong technical Trade Finance products knowledge and familiar with UCP600, ISBP, ISP, URDG, URC, URR etc.
- Familiar with Collateral Management System.
