Job Description - Vice President Structured & Project Finance, Global Corporate Banking (250000RC)

You will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing structured finance transactions in OCBC’s target markets in Asia and beyond. Working within SPFA, a specialized product team, you will collaborate closely with sector coverage teams in Singapore and overseas branches, as well as other product teams within Global Wholesale Banking. If you are passionate about managing multiple transactions across sectors in a dynamic environment, this role could be ideal for you.

To succeed, you should have a deep understanding of key sectors such as Renewables, Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas, and infrastructure. You must handle complex project structures and navigate commercial, technical, and legal issues related to greenfield and brownfield projects. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You should be capable of managing multiple transactions independently and proactively. As an Executive Director, you will provide leadership within the team and across the bank, guiding strategic initiatives and mentoring colleagues.

What You Will Do
  1. Develop and execute Project Finance (PF) and Export Credit Agency (ECA) Finance business in the region, including select transactions handled by overseas Structured Finance teams.
  2. Lead credit origination, due diligence, documentation, and execution processes, including risk assessment, structuring, and managing documentation through to financial close.
  3. Originate new transactions within the region.
  4. Monitor sector trends and stay updated on market conditions affecting the portfolio and new business opportunities.
  5. Identify and pursue new business development themes beyond usual activities.
  6. Assist in developing and reviewing the strategic direction of the Structured Finance business.
  7. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (relationship bankers, credit, overseas branches) and external stakeholders (clients, banks, advisors).
  8. Mentor junior team members.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in structured finance.
  • Strong credit and structuring skills to justify credit merits.
  • Experience in deal origination and client-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time proactively.
  • Independent, driven, self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills.
