Job summary

A leading global commodities firm is seeking a Senior Investment M&A professional based in Singapore to manage end-to-end mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess 12-15 years of relevant experience, particularly in corporate development and emerging markets, and have strong financial modelling and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in investment M&A and corporate development.
  • International experience preferred, particularly in emerging markets.
  • Experience in commodities, food, or consumer industries is beneficial.

Job description

  • Permanent headcount, based in Singapore
  • Leading global commodities firm
  • Candidates must have relevant work experience within investment M&A / project management, and global/ SEA emerging markets experience

Responsibilities would include:

  • Lead and execute end-to-end M&A, greenfield investments, divestments, joint ventures, and strategic initiatives, and support the growth strategy of the firm
  • Handle the full deal lifecycle, from deal origination and analysis to execution and post-deal integration, including managing multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and driving each project stage to completion
  • Support business case development, valuation and financial modelling, due-diligence, structuring, documentation review, and project management
  • Review comprehensive organic investment proposals, prepare presentations and recommendations for approval, navigate the internal approval process
  • Monitor performance of investments and prepare management reports to facilitate reviews at Investment Committee and Board level
  • Maintain an awareness of the industry, leverage market and competitive intel, staying abreast of emerging trends and opportunities, including competition, changes in customer preference, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in investment M&A, corporate development
  • International working experience is also highly preferred since the projects are global coverage, must have emerging markets exposure
  • Must have some experience in commodities, food, consumer industries, and have worked in a corporate development function of a corporate
  • Excellent quantitative and financial modelling skills
  • Ability to multitask; project management skills, team player
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
