Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS) is a strategic growth engine for the Asia Pacific region. Our mission is to empower acquirers, merchants, PSPs, and payment facilitators with secure, scalable, and innovative gateway solutions that power seamless commerce—online and in-person.

As Vice President of Specialized Sales, you will lead the charge in accelerating MPGS growth across Asia Pacific. This role is pivotal in expanding our footprint, building a high-quality pipeline, and converting opportunities into long-term, revenue-generating partnerships. You will lead a team of sales specialists and work closely with regional and global stakeholders to position MPGS as the platform of choice for acceptance and value-added services.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive Growth: Define and execute a high-impact sales strategy to expand MPGS market share and revenue across Asia Pacific.
- Build Pipeline: Lead proactive prospecting and opportunity identification, ensuring a strong and sustainable sales funnel aligned with strategic priorities.
- Maximize Conversion: Champion deal progression and closure, optimizing sales processes and removing friction to accelerate time-to-revenue.
- Lead High-Performing Teams: Build, coach, and inspire a team of product-focused sales specialists across gateway, fraud, and value-added services.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Account Management, Market Development, Product, and Implementation teams to deliver integrated, client-centric solutions.
- Own Sales Metrics: Maintain accountability for key performance indicators including revenue, pipeline health, win rates, and new business acquisition.
- Engage Strategically: Represent MPGS in high-stakes client engagements, RFPs, and executive-level negotiations with a consultative, value-driven approach.
- Shape the Future: Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence product roadmaps and innovation priorities.

Profile, Key Requirements and Competencies

- Proven Sales Leadership: Strong track record in building and leading high-performing sales teams that consistently deliver results.
- Payments Industry Expertise: Significant experience in sales, commercial, or business development leadership roles within merchant acquiring, PSP, and/or digital payments.
- Achieving Results: Demonstrated success in exceeding multi-year sales targets across diverse products and solutions.
- Strategic Sales Execution: Skilled in developing go-to-market strategies, building pipelines, and driving opportunities from prospecting to conversion.
- Payment Gateway Knowledge: Deep understanding of payment gateways, payment processing, and fraud management solutions.
- Regional Insight: Strong knowledge of the Asia Pacific payment landscape, including market trends and key players.
- Customer Engagement: Extensive experience working directly with clients, shaping solutions, and delivering commercial success.
- Influence & Leadership: Ability to drive business objectives in complex matrix environments while influencing senior stakeholders.
- Analytical & Data-Driven: Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills, with experience using data to inform decisions.
- Executive Presence: Confident communicator with excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic & Creative Thinking: Adept at designing win-win commercial structures and shaping long-term partnerships.
- People Leadership: Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Language & Travel: Fluent in English, with willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
