Job description

Business Function:

Our financial solutions are not only the best in class – they are made just for you.We're seeking a dynamic candidate to work in the Capital Markets products team in our Regional Consumer Banking investment business. The candidate will work closely with consumer investment product teams across the region, spanning 7 locations (Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, India, Thailand), to grow their revenue by formulating clear multi-year product strategy, sourcing best-in-class products from internal and external counterparties as well as leveraging the product specialist & research expertise of PB product teams. The role also involves facilitating performance measurements to optimize sales effectiveness for Treasures & Retail segments. Product scope encompasses Equities and Equity derivatives, Interest rate / currency linked structured products, FX, Dual Currency Investments and Bonds.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with countries to evaluate new product ideas, develop product expansion initiatives, provide oversight on process coordination (including system enhancements and infrastructure development), and collaborate with Product Due Diligence and the COO office to secure regional clearance before submission to the Investment Product Council.

  • Lead the definition and implementation of the regional capital market product proposition for Treasures & Retail clients, while ensuring alignment and coordination with the regional practice on Product & Advisory framework established for higher-wealth segments.

  • Disseminate regional guidelines, practices and regulatory-related information to local product teams, and drive regional standardisation by aligning processes and product development frameworks through knowledge transfers across the region.

  • Track product revenue metrics across each market, pinpoint issues or shortfalls, propose and drive remediation plans collaborating with countries, and proactively sniff out new opportunities to close gaps and grow the topline.

  • Collaborate with the regional platform team to deliver key system implementations and enhancements on schedule, while identifying opportunities for future platform improvements.

  • Develop the annual business plan with management team to set goals, service expectations, market strategy, competitive advantage, profitability and revenue and track progress against those goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 7 to 10 years' experience in wealth management product roles, with P&L ownership and a deep understanding of capital market products, services, solutions, industry requirements, regulatory framework and market trends.

  • CFA Charter holder certification or candidate is advantageous.

  • Proven track record in strategic business planning, product life-cycle management and end-to-end platform/system implementations—ideally across multiple Asia-Pacific markets.

  • Candidate must be meticulous, driven, analytical, appreciates processes and exhibits the ability to take charge, lead and drive all functions to deliver business objectives in a fast-paced service-focused environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills and strong communication / presentation skills.

  • Possess strong influencing skills with a collaborative mind-set as he/she will need to manage both external and internal stakeholders to achieve the regional investment product budget, and long-term strategy plans.
